D.A. CZAJKA ANNOUNCES SENTENCES
District Attorney Paul Czajka announced that Hon. Richard M. Koweek sentenced Matthew Geddes in Columbia County Court on March 20, 2017.
25 year old Matthew Geddes of Valatie was convicted by plea and sentenced in Columbia County Court for Rape in the Third Degree, a Class E Felony. Hon. Richard M. Koweek sentenced Geddes to one (1) year incarceration in the Columbia County jail and issued a full stay away order of protection on behalf of the victim. Upon his release, Geddes will have to register with the state’s sex offender registry, as required by state law. The New York State Police charged Geddes with Rape in the Third Degree, on October 4, 2016, in the town of Kinderhook. Mark Fleury, Esq. represents Geddes.
