Press Release – Shots Fired – Weapon/Drugs Recovered

Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:43pm Hudson Police received a call that gunshots had been fired in the vicinity of the HALF MOON BAR, South Front Street, Hudson, NY.

Upon patrol’s arrival they discovered several people outside the bar, and two vehicles with apparent bullet hole damage. There were no apparent injuries.

Numerous interviews were conducted that indicate an argument between two or more subjects, with handguns brandished. Witness accounts state several shots were fired.

HPD located a .40 caliber “American Tactical” semi-automatic handgun in the office, as well as baggies containing crack cocaine and heroin. The handgun, which is stolen, is being processed at the State Police lab.

“This is still a very active investigation. HPD is being assisted by the State Police and Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. We are tracking down several leads and expect to make arrests.” Chief
