The defendant, Joseph Richard McGiffert was arrested on signed complaints from the victim after being involved in a physical domestic dispute. she reported that McGiffert pulled her hair, attempted to strike her, choked her almost causing her to pass out, and damaged some of her property including her nightgown which was on her person.
