Eight Arrested on Felony Charges after Search Warrant
On February 22, 2017 at 6:38 p.m., the Hudson City Police Department arrested a total of eight people all on Felony charges after executing a Search Warrant. The Search Warrant was for the entire building located at 525, 527, 527 ½ State Street Hudson, New York 12534. Three subjects were detained during the Search Warrant and later released without charges by Police.
Listed below are the names and charges for each defendant that was arrested by Police and their next Court appearances;
1. 29 year old, Gregory T. Meyers of Greenport, New York, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree – Previously Convicted (2 Counts), a class D Felony, and Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree, a class D Felony. Gregory T. Meyers is already a convicted Felon and currently on New York State Parole for his previous conviction of Criminal possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree a class C Felony.
Gregory T. Meyers was arraigned at the Hudson City Criminal Court on 2/23/17 by Judge Herman. He was remanded to the Columbia County Jail with no bail and due back to HCC on 2/23/17 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2/28/17 at 4pm.
2. 27 year old, Brian K. Fields of Ancram, New York was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree – Previously Convicted (2 Counts), a class D Felony, and Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree, a class D Felony. Brian K. Fields was also arrested for an additional UPM(unlawful possession of Marijuana) charge, a violation.
Brian K. Fields was arraigned at the Hudson City Criminal Court on 2/23/17 by Judge Herman. He was remanded to the Columbia County Jail on $25,000 cash / 50,000 bond and due back to HCC on 2/23/17 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2/28/17 at 4pm.
3. 57 year old, Rodderick V. Smith of Hudson, New York was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree – Previously Convicted (2 Counts), a class D Felony, and Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree, a class D Felony.
Rodderick V. Smith was arraigned at the Hudson City Criminal Court on 2/23/17 by Judge Herman. He was remanded to the Columbia County Jail on $25,000 cash / 50,000 bond and due back to HCC on 2/23/17 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2/28/17 at 4pm.
4. 25 year old, Michael Owens of Albany, New York was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree(2 Counts), a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree, a class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony, and Criminal Possession Weapon 4th Degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Michael Owens was arraigned at the Hudson City Criminal Court on 2/23/17 by Judge Herman. He was remanded to the Columbia County Jail on $25,000 cash / 50,000 bond and due back to HCC on 2/23/17 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2/28/17 at 4pm.
5. 24 year old, Larell Roberts of Hudson, New York was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree, a class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony, and Criminal Possession Weapon 4th Degree, a class A misdemeanor. At the time of the arrest, Larell Roberts also had an unrelated outstanding Bench Warrant and was wanted by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on that Warrant.
Larell Roberts was arraigned at the Hudson City Criminal Court on 2/23/17 by Judge Herman. He was remanded to the Columbia County Jail on $25,000 cash / 50,000 bond and due back to HCC on 2/23/17 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2/28/17 at 4pm.
6. 32 year old, Roderick V. Smith Jr. of Hudson, New York was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree, a class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony, and Criminal Possession Weapon 4th Degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Smith of Hudson, New York was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree, a class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony, and Criminal Possession Weapon 4th Degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Roman A. Smith was arraigned at the Hudson City Criminal Court on 2/23/17 by Judge Herman. He was remanded to the Columbia County Jail on $25,000 cash / 50,000 bond and due back to HCC on 2/23/17 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2/28/17 at 4pm.

8. 23 year old, Tyrone L. Bell of Hudson, New York was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree, a class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony, and Criminal Possession Weapon 4th Degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Tyrone L. Bell was arraigned at the Hudson City Criminal Court on 2/23/17 by Judge Herman. He was remanded to the Columbia County Jail on $25,000 cash / 50,000 bond and due back to HCC on 2/23/17 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2/28/17 at 4pm.
The Columbia County District Attorney’s Office, New York State Police, Columbia County Sheriff’s Department, Greenport Police Department, and Greene County Sheriff’s Department assisted with this felony criminal investigation. The Columbia-Greene Shared Services Response Team conducted the initial execution of the search warrant.
Items seized during the raid were….a .380 cal. Pistol (loaded), a 12 ga. Shotgun and ammo, 2 imitation weapons, more than 3 lbs. of marihuana, over 500 individual packages of heroin, packaging & scales, and more than $15,000 dollars cash.
