An altercation in Catskill ended with two people in the Greene County Jail. 25 year old Eric Garcia of Castleton was charged by Catskill Police with 2nd degree strangulation, a felony, assault, act in a manner to injure a child, and disobey a mandate. He is being held on 5000 dollars bail. 26 year old Casey Statts of Catskill was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault. She was held on 1500 dollars bail. Both were charged at the Catskill Police Station last week.
