Copake couple accused of having stolen snowmobile

from Columbia County Sheriff's Office:


* Deputies arrested two individuals for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree (Class A Misdemeanor) after locating a stolen snowmobile in the Town of Copake. 

The Sheriff’s Office received information from the Connecticut State Police that a snowmobile was stolen from a resident in Connecticut and that the snowmobile could possibly be located in the Copake area. 

Sergeant Eli Fieser, Deputy David Proper, and Deputy Samantha Plass located the snowmobile on Connelly Road.

 Kyle Ellis, 27, of Copake, was arrested at 9:30am March 1, 2017 for possessing the stolen property. Also arrested in connection with this stolen property was Ariel O’Dell, 22, of Hillsdale. 

Both defendants were issued appearance tickets returnable to Copake Town Court on March 27.
