We've learned that Fairview Cinema 3 will be closing their doors for good March 19th. Theatre owner, Bruce Mitchinson gave us the news today. The theatre opened with one screen in the early 70's. When film companies converted from film to digital two years ago, small independent owners like Bruce, had trouble with the cost of the new projectors, so he was only able to get one. And with the multi-chain up the road, it was tough getting many of the popular movies. Their final showing, of the film "Lion" will be Sunday March 19th. Then the doors will close for good.
