Stanfordville man arrested for burglarizing Livingston home

PRESS RELEASELivingston, New York – On March 19, 2017, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested 36-year-old Adrien G. Cadwallader of Stanford, New York, for Burglary in the 1stDegree, a Class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, Menacing 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
At approximately 10:28 a.m. on March 19, 2017, Troopers were dispatched by Columbia County 911 to investigate a possible criminal mischief complaint that occurred on Route 9 in Livingston. Troopers arrived on scene and interviewed the victim who reported that Cadwallader, an acquaintance, had unlawfully entered her home by means of forcible entry. The defendant then reportedly threatened to kill the victim with a utility knife before fleeing the scene.
Cadwallader was taken into custody by Troopers from the Poughkeepsie barracks after they executed a traffic stop on his vehicle which was traveling on Hunns Lake Road in Stanfordvillle.The defendant was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Weaver in the Town of Livingston Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to return to Livingston Court on March 23, 2017.
