Stockport burglary leads to guilty plea

On March 24, 2017,  24 year old Meranda Hamm of Ghent was convicted by plea of Attempted Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Honorable Richard M. Koweek presiding. The Court will sentence Meranda Hamm on May 1, 2017. Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett's Office investigated this matter and arrested Meranda Hamm. John Leonardson represents Meranda Hamm. Meranda L. Hamm, 24, of Ghent, was arrested on a warrant at 6:00pm May 16 and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (Class C Felony) and Petit Larceny (Class A Misdemeanor) by Investigator Patrick Logue and Deputy Jordan Brahm. Hamm is accused of unlawfully entering a residence in the Town of Stockport and stealing property valued at approximately $600. She was arraigned in Stockport Town Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. She is scheduled back in court on June 20.
