A Claverack man died Tuesday in a paragliding accident in Dutchess County. 44 year old Varick Stringham encountered turbulence near Brace Mountain in Millerton, he fell into a heavily wooded area. We're told it took multiple rescue crews over five hours to get to the crash site, after it was reported around 1:35pm. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Brace Mountain covers parts of New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Rescue crews included State Police, Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, Firemen, and Forest Rangers.
