Greene County man charged after possible heroin overdose

Charges: Misdemeanor- Criminal Possession of a controlled substance in the 7th Degree, Misdemeanor- Criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.

Location of Incident: Botinti fuel, Ulster Ave Village of Saugerties

Person Charged: Robert J. Zuchowski

Charged Person’s Age: 39

Address of Person Charged: 40 Minew Road, Lexington NY

Narrative of What Occurred:

On April 7, 2017 Saugerties Police responded to a 911 call at Botini Fuel on Ulster Ave for a report of a subject that had passed out in the employee bathroom.

Upon arrival, officers interview Robert J. Zuchowski,. At the time Zuchowski appeared to be experiencing symptoms consistent to that of a drug overdose. Zuchowski was also found to be in possession of a hypodermic syringe and a quantity of heroin. Zuchowski was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to the Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Kingston Campus for treatment.

On April 19, 2017, the investigating officer interviewed Zuchowski at police headquarters. Incidental to the interview, Zuchowski was processed on the Misdemeanor Charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin) and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermis Syringe.

Zuchowski was then released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Saugerties Court on May 8, 2017 at 6 P.M. to answer his charges.
