Claverack man charged with felony DWI following one car crash

Claverack, New York - On April 23, 2017, New York State Police arrested Jason F. Russ, 26 years old, of Claverack, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony.At approximately 7:13 p.m., Columbia County 911 dispatched the State Police to a one-car rollover auto collision that occurred on County Route 11. The driver of the vehicle, Russ, was found to be intoxicated. He was transported by Greenport Rescue Squad to Albany Medical Center for an evaluation.Russ was discharged from Albany Medical Center and was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Claverack Court on May 9, 2017 at 6 p.m.Russ was charged with Felony DWI due to a previous DWI related conviction from 2010.
