Shooting Investigation
Hudson Police are currently investigation a shooting that occurred in the area of North 5th and State Street.
On Monday, May 1, 2017 at approximately 8:15 pm, officers responded to the area of the 500 block of State Street and North 5th Street, and next to D and D Deli, for a report of an altercation and shots fired. Upon arrival, officers checked the area and found evidence of a shooting but no victim was located at that time. HPD Detectives assigned.
Over 2 hours later, the Columbia Memorial Hospital contacted the Hudson Police Department to report, a 30 year old male with a gunshot wound to his right lower buttocks area. The victim was treated by Columbia Memorial Hospital and then transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries for additional medical treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
