Elizaville man indicted on drug charges

D.A. CZAJKA ANNOUNCES ARRAIGNMENT

District Attorney Paul Czajka announced on May 23, 2017, Columbia County Court, Honorable Jonathan D. Nichols presiding, arraigned Cory Collins, age 26 of Elizaville, upon his Indictment for two (2) Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, class B felonies, that occurred in the Towns of Greenport and Kinderhook,. The Court scheduled a future appearance on June 16th, 2017 at 9:00am. Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett's Office (Inv. Paul Graziano) and the New York State Police (Inv. Jason Manchuck) investigated this matter and arrested Cory Collins.

All criminal defendants are presumed to be innocent. That presumption remains throughout every prosecution unless and until The People of the State of New York, in the person of the District Attorney or his duly appointed Assistant DA, prove defendant's guilt beyond a reasonable to all twelve of twelve jurors or defendant is convicted by guilty plea. Defendants are not required to prove their innocence.
