Gloversville Man Arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property

PRESS RELEASEOn 05/27/17, New York State Police at Catskill arrested CLAYTON WHEATLEY age 44, of Gloversville, NY. WHEATLEY was operating a motor vehicle that was reported stolen that morning in the Town of Bleecker located in Fulton County. WHEATLEY was involved in a property damage accident and fled from the vehicle, he was taken into custody a short while after the accident without incident. WHEATLEY was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree (class E Felony), Aggravated DWI and numerous Vehicle and Traffic citations.
Following his arrest, WHEATLEY was arraigned before Town Justice Pazin in the Town of Athens Court and remanded to Greene County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
