Bring the family to AG Day Today at CGCC

Ag Day Coming to C-GCC Columbia-Greene Community College will host Ag Day on its campus on June 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a special, free event co-sponsored by 4H and Cornell Cooperative Extension. 

The day, which is a part of the college's 50th anniversary celebration, will feature displays, demonstrations and live farm animals, all especially suited to families and children. Visitors can learn more about the farms and farmers who provide a major economic and tourism base for the counties. 

The day will feature local produce as well as a variety of foods, baked goods and other culinary delights. The work of local artisans will also be on display. The event will take place rain or shine. For more information, call (518) 828-4181, extension 5513, or email [] 

C-GCC is located on state Route 23 in Greenport, one mile east of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Route 23 can be reached from Exit 21 of the New York State Thruway or the Hudson exit of the Taconic Parkway.
