Drug arrest on Thruway in Coxsackie

Dundalk, MD man arrested for possessing 34 grams of marijuana.

PRESS RELEASECoxsackie, NY – On June 6, 2017, at approximately 1:49 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the Town of Coxsackie for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Charles W. Kennis, age 45, of Dundalk, MD, was found to be in possession of approximately 34 grams of Marihuana. He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Albany, where he was subsequently charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 5th Degree; a Class B Misdemeanor
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
  • Vehicle and Traffic Violation.

 Kennis was released on appearance tickets made returnable to the Town of Coxsackie Court on June 19, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. after posting $250.00 cash bail.
