Hudson woman charged with possessing counterfeit money

Hudson, New York – On June 15, 2017, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Kelly J. Sedgwick, 48 years old, of Hudson, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 1st Degree, a Class C Felony.

On May 29, 2017, State Police were dispatched to a Greenport restaurant after a business owner reported that he received counterfeit currency as payment for the delivery of pizza and soda. A subsequent investigation revealed that Sedgwick knowingly gave the delivery driver a counterfeit $100 bill for a food delivery that took place in the City of Hudson.

Sedgwick was arraigned in the Town of Livingston Court and released on her own recognizance. She is due to appear in the City of Hudson Court on June 20, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.
