Four homeless after Livingston Fire

Fire destroyed a home at 453 Millbrook Road in Livingston late Wednesday night. Seven firecompanies were called to the scene just before 11pm.

American Red Cross Aids Four After Hudson Fire

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (June 22, 2017) - Volunteers from the Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to four people after a fire early Thursday morning on Millbrook Road in Hudson (Columbia County).

The Red Cross provided health services and financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to three adults and a child, age 11. Volunteers also offered emotional support and comfort kits containing personal care items, as well as a stuffed animal for the child. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.

In 2016, the Red Cross responded to more than 400 home fires and other disasters in the 24-county Eastern New York Region. Red Cross staff and volunteers provided assistance, care and comfort to more than 2,000 local residents last year.
