U.S. Women's Hockey Will Play For Gold At Winter Olympics

The U.S. Women's ice hockey team will take on Canada for the gold medal match after they destroyed Finland in their semifinals matchup at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games

The U.S. team was lightening fast, scoring two goals in each of the first two periods, with one pair of scores coming in less than one minute of the second period. The U.S. dominated play throughout the game, taking 38 shots to only 14 for Finland.

Assists from Meghan Duggan and Amanda Pelkey allowed Gigi Marvin to score just minutes into the game. Dani Cameransesi scored unassisted later near the end of the first period, the first of two goals today.

Team USA will play in the gold medal game against Canada which airs live in the U.S. on Wednesday night at 11:10 p.m. ET and 8:10 PT. Canada's Women's ice hockey team has won every Olympic gold medal since 1998.
