Saugerties man arrested for Burglary First Degree

PRESS RELEASE

On April, 11, 2019 the New York State Police at Catskill report the arrest of Travis Gonzalez, age 23 of Saugerties, NY for Burglary 1st Degree, a class B felony.

Gonzalez was arrested after a three month investigation into where Gonzalez allegedly forced his way into a residence in Palenville, NY on January 12, 2019 and assaulted the victim resulting in serious injuries.

Gonzalez was arraigned before Town of Catskill Justice Jacobs and released back to the custody of The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

Assisting in the investigation was the Greene County District Attorney's Office, The Ulster County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.

This is not Gonzalez's first arrest. He was accused of assaulting two patrons at a Saugerties bar last June, and was one of four arrested for a Saugerties baseball bat attack a few years ago.
