Wanted Felon from Texas Arrested by HPD

On Saturday, July 20, 2019, at approximately 1:12 am, the Hudson City Police Department arrested 28 year old, Xavier C. Anderson, of Hudson New York.

He was charged with the following:

Fugitive from justice (Wanted in Texas)

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Class C Felony

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, Class D Felony

Resisting Arrest, Class A Misdemeanor

While on patrol during the over-night tour, Officers Jonathan Merante and Randy Strattman observed Xavier Anderson, a wanted subject, walking in the area of Bliss Towers.

Anderson, a parole violator, has previous convictions for weapons possession in Texas and has known gang affiliations. He was considered “armed and dangerous”. The State of Texas declared him a fugitive from justice.

When the HPD officers approached Anderson, he resisted arrest, but was subdued without any injuries. HPD learned he was staying in this area with relatives.

Anderson was also found to be in possession of 1.9 grams of cocaine and 3.7 grams of Ecstasy .

Anderson was arraigned before Judge Herman and remanded to Columbia County Jail on no bail in regards to the fugitive of justice charge, and $10,000 cash $25,000 bond on the additional felony drug and resisting charge. Anderson is scheduled to return to Hudson City Court on Wednesday July 24, 2019 at 0830.
