About a week ago the West Athens Fire House was burglarized and at least $900 was taken. Mid-Hudson is honored to support the brave men and women of the West Athens Fire House with a donation of $1000 to help cover their loss. The value of our local volunteer fire fighters is priceless! If you have any information about the robbery, please contact the State Police or the West Athens Firehouse. If anyone would like to make a contribution, please contact the West Athens Firehouse.

Below is the post from West Athens FD from 8/1, including a picture of the person that stole from them

To our neighbors in Athens, Catskill, Leeds, and Coxsackie please lock your doors and windows. At around 12:15 in the morning Wednesday our firehouse was broke into and robbed. If you have any information please let us or the state police know.
