HOAM takes the greatest commandment and puts it into practice: "love one another”.
We believe that through genuine compassion, we can make a difference in the presence of struggle by offering hope for the future. We do this by:
- Supporting, validating, honoring, and encouraging people where they are and celebrating birthdays, holidays, and victories; we use prayer, personal relationships, and meeting basic human needs (food, clothing, love, dignity).
- Providing referrals and accompanying people in need to agencies that can help improve their circumstances.
- Modeling the choices, attitudes, and behaviors of Persons in Recovery.
