A number of agencies responded to the Rosewood Gardens nursing home in East Greenbush after several of the nursing staff failed to show up yesterday/Saturday morning. A statement from Rensselaer County said medications were not able to be given to residents because federal regulations require a licensed nurse administer them. Officials were able to get nurses to the facility by early afternoon and all residents were reportedly safe. Representatives from the state department of health, Albany Med, Mohawk Ambulance and other agencies were on the scene. No word from Rosewood Gardens or the agency on why nurses didn't show up.
