The Town of Ulster Highway Department will start its Christmas tree recycling program on Monday (January 6). Residents are encouraged to place their undecorated trees on the curb for collection. The program will run through the end of January. According to the Town of Ulster's official website, all collected trees will be recycled and used for future Town Highway projects.

The recycling initiative aims to provide an environmentally friendly way to dispose of Christmas trees while benefiting community projects. Residents are reminded to remove all ornaments, lights, and decorations before placing trees on the curb.

The Highway Department, responsible for maintaining 73 miles of town roads, will oversee the collection and recycling process. For more information, residents can contact the Highway Department at 845-338-0193.
