Hudson mayoral candidate Fred Starke was arraigned in Columbia County Court this morning, after his indictment on Felony charges. In the indictment, released by the Columbia County D.A.'s office, Starke was charged with Making a terroristic threat, a felony, two counts. And Aggravated Harassment second degree, two counts. The alleged crimes took place between February and April of this year.
The indictment states Starke intended to intimidate, influence the policy of a unit of government by intimidation or coercion, or affect the conduct of a unit of government by murder, assassination, or kidnapping, he threatens to commit or cause to be committed a specific offense and thereby causes a reasonable expectation or fear of the imminent commission of such offense.
The alleged crimes were committed on a computer or electronic means.
He was arraigned and sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail. Both County judges have recused themselves from the case, so another judge will have to be brought in.
