Accidents kept crews busy Saturday

Just after noon on Saturday, two cars collided on Route 66 in Greenport, at Maple Avenue. Greenport fire and rescue responded. As you can see below, the crash caused a lot of damage to one of the cars, ripping a rear wheel off. One person was taken to Columbia Memorial.


Stuyvesant Fire and Valatie rescue were also called to a two car accident. It happened just before 5:30pm at the intersection of Route 9J and County Route 26A. One patient was transported to Columbia Memorial. 


Two accidents on County Route 21 in Kinderhook brought Kinderhook firefighters to the scene. The first, North of Bishop Nelson Road, involved an overturned truck. The driver was not injured. The second was near Dalgren road and involved two vehicles. Both drivers refused medical attention.
