Claverack man sentenced to 4 years in prison

The Claverack man, who was arrested March 1st in drug raid at his Old Lane residence, was sentenced today in Columbia County Court.

On September 11, 2017, Honorablle Richard M. Koweek sentenced Levar Young to four (4) years with the New York State Department of Corrections and three (3) years post-release supervision upon his conviction by plea, as indicted, of four (4) Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 3rd Degree.  Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett's Office investigated this matter and arrested Levar Young.  Mark Sacco represents Levar Young.  (Indictment No. 17-013)

Young had plead guilty in July:

On July 28, 2017, Levar Young was convicted by plea, as indicted, of four (4) Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 3rd Degree, Honorable Richard M. Koweek presiding.  The Court will sentence Levar Young on September 11, 2017.   Columbia County Sheriff David P.
