Hudson traffic stop turns up cocaine

Drug Arrest

On September 11, 2017, the City of Hudson Police Department arrested 64 year old, Clarence Burgess of Hudson New York on Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, a class D Felony and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor.

On September 11, 2017, at approximately 6:06 pm in the area of 325 State Street, Hudson Police Officers, while on patrol, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Clarence Burgess. Subsequent to the traffic stop Mr. Burgess was found to be operating his motor vehicle while having a suspended NY State Drivers License and was also found to be in possession of more than 500 milligrams of Cocaine. Mr. Burgess was taken into custody and returned to the Hudson Police Department for processing.

Clarence Burgess was arraigned in Hudson City Court before Judge Connor and remanded to the Columbia County Jail on no bail. Burgess is due back in court on 09/12/17.
