Two women charged with Hudson Break-ins

 Press Release- Burglaries in Hudson

The Hudson Police Department at 6:55am this morning received a report of a burglary at Nolita’s Café at 454 Warren Street. Officers observed that entry was made through a window and two cash registers were removed from the building. Owners reported that at least $150 dollars was missing. Shortly thereafter HPD received a report from Governor’s Tavern at 14 South 7th Street that they too had been burglarized. Officers arrived to find that the cash register drawer had been forcibly removed and approximately $400 was missing. Entry was gained by smashing a window near the tavern’s patio.

After reviewing several security videos, Officer Merante identified one of the perpetrators, and with Sergeant Rowe located two suspects at 68 Harry Howard Avenue. HPD Detectives interviewed the pair and subsequently arrested them for Burglary.

Arrested were ROSEMARIE COOPER , 38 years old, of Hudson and ELIZABETH A. STOECKER, 26 yrs. old also of Hudson. Cooper has a pending warrant of arrest in Catskill for Petit Larceny. Stoecker has a pending warrant in Hudson for misdemeanor drug possession.

Arraignment is pending as Detectives continue to gather evidence and conduct interviews.
