Coxsackie traffic stop leads to drug arrest

Schenectady, New York man arrested for Possession of Crack Cocaine and Marihuana subsequent to a traffic stop.

PRESS RELEASE

Coxsackie, NY – On October 6, 2017, at approximately 11:47 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the Town of Coxsackie for multiple vehicle and traffic violations. During the interviewing of the driver King K. Jeter, age 53, of Schenectady, NY, for the traffic violations probable cause to search the vehicle was established. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, Cocaine and Marihuana were located. The driver was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Albany, where he was subsequently charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree; a Class B Felony (with intent to sell)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree; a Class B Felony (narcotic drug)
  • Unlawful Possession of Marihuana; a Violation
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations

Jeter was arraigned in the Town of Coxsackie Court and remanded to the Green County Jail in lieu of $75,000. Cash or $150,000. Bond. A return date of October 11, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. has been set in the Town of Coxsackie Court.
