Troy, NY men arrested for Felony Cocaine possession subsequent to a traffic stop on I-87.

PRESS RELEASENew Baltimore, NY – On October 8, 2017, at approximately 5:15p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the Town of New Baltimore for a speeding violation. The driver of the vehicle, Ramon A. Bermudez, age 37, and his passenger Joshua Morera, age 23 both from Troy, NY were found to be in possession of approximately 2.2 pounds of Cocaine. They were taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Albany. They were subsequently charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree; a Class A Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree; (Narcotic Drug with intent to sell) a Class B Felony
- Vehicle and Traffic Violation
Bermudez and Morera were transported and arraigned in the Town of New Baltimore Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail on no bail. A return court date of October 13, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. has been set in the Town of New Baltimore Court.
