Robert Quentin Moore, age 63, of Livingston, NY, passed away on October 9, 2017, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Robert was born in Hudson, NY on April 13, 1954. He graduated from Germantown Central School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Marist College.
Bob was an electrical contractor and owner of B&K Electric and Hudson Valley Home Generators in Livingston. He served as a Livingston Town Justice for 41 years. When the Southern Columbia Ambulance Squad formed in 1972, Bob joined that year and eventually became its administrator. He served on the consistory of the Linlithgo Reformed Church of Livingston. He was a member of the Columbia County Electrical Contractors Association and the Southern Columbia County Magistrates Association.
Bob will be remembered for his service to the community and love for his family and friends. During his many hours on the bench he exhibited compassion and understanding. Over 13 years ago he started a program in his court for the rehabilitation of alcohol and drug abusers. He shared in the joy of their personal success stories. He loved animals his whole life, especially abandoned cats and dogs. He was an incomparable brother and “Uncle Bob” to his nephews, extended family, and friends. He was always the one person to call on in a time of need.
Bob is survived by his partner Karen (Vale) at home , his brother Edward and wife Diane, and nephews John, Michael, and Brian Moore of Clermont.
Bob is preceded in death by his father and mother; Quentin and Helen Moore, and his brother Thomas.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home of Germantown. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family with interment in the Livingston Rural Cemetery.
