Germantown man sentenced on rape charges

Germantown man sentenced after pleading guilty in September:

On November 6, 2017, Honorable Richard M. Koweek sentenced John Hoey to ten years probation and ordered him to register as a Level 1 Sex Offender and pay $250.77 in restitution upon his conviction of two (2) Counts of Rape in the 3rd Degree and four (4) Counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the 3rd Degree. The New York State Police investigated this matter and arrested John Hoey. Eric Naiburg and Michael Pollok represent John Hoey. (Indictment No. 16-026)

Germantown, New York – On March 3, 2016, New York State Police from SP Livingston arrested John P. Hoey, 46 years old, of Germantown, New York, for Rape in the 3rd Degree, a Class E Felony.On March 1, 2016, Troopers were notified by the victim’s family that Hoey had reportedly engaged in sexual contact with a 16-year-old female victim. Hoey was arraigned in the Town of Germantown Justice Court before the Honorable Beaury and released on $5,000 cash bail. He is due to reappear in Germantown Court at a later date.
