Greenport votes down Hudson Library proposal

The town of Greenport has said NO to the Hudson Area Library proposal from Election night. The library had sought a $28,000 annual increase from town taxpayers. After absentee ballots were counted, the Columbia County Board of Elections reported the proposal was voted down by 23 votes. If approved, it would have meant a property tax increase.

On Election night, the City of Hudson approved their increase by more than 2 to 1.
