Roadwork scheduled in Hillsdale, starting in January



Route 22 Roadwork with Alternating Traffic Expected

Town of Hillsdale, Columbia County

Motorists are advised that Route 22 between Schutts Road and Mitchell Street in the town of Hillsdale, Columbia County, is expected to be restricted to one lane with alternating traffic, beginning Tuesday, January 2, at 10 a.m., while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled by a traffic signal, and the lane restriction is expected to last until Monday, February 26.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
