From Bethlehem Police:
On Tuesday, February 6, 2018, the Bethlehem Police Department arrested a Hannacroix man in regards to the January 6th, 2018, Trustco Bank robbery in Slingerlands. From the start of the investigation Bethlehem Police were aware of similar bank robberies in the Capital Region.
As part of the on-going investigation Bethlehem Police were monitoring other bank robbery incidents, and became aware of an arrest by the City of Kingston Police on January 18th. After working with Kingston Police, and comparing similar robberies in Albany and Rotterdam, police executed multiple search warrants to gain further evidence in this case.
On February 6th, Bethlehem Police arrested Ryan J. O’Connor, 30, for one felony count of Robbery in the third degree, and one misdemeanor count of Petit Larceny. O’Connor was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court by the Honorable Judge Ryan Donovan and remanded to jail without bail.
O’Connor is scheduled to return to the Town of Bethlehem Court on March 6th at 4:00PM. O’Connor is currently incarcerated at the Ulster County as a result of his arrest by Kingston Police on January 18th.
The joint investigation into this incident is on-going, and is being investigated by Bethlehem Police, as well as Albany Police, Rotterdam Police, and Kingston Police.
O'Connor was charged earlier, for the January 18th robbery of the Key Bank on Wall Street in Kingston, by Kingston Police. He remains in the Ulster County Jail.
