THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10
inches, with localized amounts up to 15 inches, are possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and eastern New York.
* WHEN...From late Thursday night through late Friday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The precipitation will start as rain
Thursday evening, then change to snow late Thursday night,
continuing on Friday. The snow could mix with rain on Friday,
especially at lower elevations. Snow accumulations by late
Friday could be quite variable, with potential for around 6
inches of slushy snow at lower elevations, but over a foot
possible at elevations above 2000 feet. Plan on difficult
travel conditions, including during the morning commute on
Friday.
