A Hudson man, that shot a Ghent woman in the Fall of 2016, is going to prison. Jermaine Jones was sentenced Thursday in Columbia County Court.

On March 8, 2018, Honorable Jonathan D. Nichols sentenced Jermaine Jones to seven (7) years with the New York State Department of Corrections and two (2) years post-release supervision upon his conviction of Assault in the 2nd Degree. The New York State Police investigated this matter and arrested Jermaine Jones. Frederick Rench represents Jermaine Jones. (SCI No. 049-17)

State Police from Livingston, working jointly with the Hudson Police Department and the Columbia County District Attorney's Office, arrested 26-year-old Jermaine M. Jones, of Hudson, New York for Assault in the 1st Degree and Criminal Use of a Firearm in the 1st Degree, both Class B Felonies, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony.
