Two HPD officers promoted to detective

PRESS RELEASE – HPD PROMOTES TWO TO DETECTIVE RANK

A ceremony was held today at City Hall, where the Hudson City Police Department promoted two patrol officers to the rank of Detective. RODNEY A. WAITHE, a 15 year veteran, and PATRICK N. MEISTER, a 6 year veteran will start in their new positions immediately. Both men are Hudson High School graduates and were trained at the Zone 14 Police Academy. They also successfully passed a competitive Civil Service test. MEISTER and WAITHE are members of the Columbia-Greene Shared Services Team and HPD’s bicycle unit.

“These promotions will enhance our ability to devote the necessary time to serious and sometimes complicated investigations. Both officers have displayed excellent traits of integrity, respect for our citizens, and exemplary service to the community.” Chief
