Fire destroyed a Livingston home Wednesday morning. A dozen fire companies were called to 439 Route 82 just after 10am. The structure was fully involved. The home, which was listed for sale, is located between Estok Road and Schneider Road. State Police have that section of the road closed.
The Red Cross is assisting the home's occupants. One female firefighter is being treated for a broken nose after falling.
The Columbia County cause and origin team and state fire investigators were called to the scene to investigate into the cause.
Heavy smoke still covers the area this afternoon.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (March 14, 2018) - Volunteers from the Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to three people after a fire Wednesday morning on State Route 82 in Livingston (Columbia County).
The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to three adults. Volunteers also offered emotional support, health services, and comfort kits containing personal care items. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.
