Schenectady, NY man arrested for possession of Heroin and Cocaine subsequent to a traffic stop.

PRESS RELEASENew Baltimore, NY – On March 13, 2018, at approximately 11:31 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the town of New Baltimore for a vehicle and traffic violation. During the interviewing of the driver and passenger Keithshawn K. Dunbar, age 29, of Schenectady, NY probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, 500 Glassine Envelopes containing Heroin were located along with approximately 7.8 grams of powder Cocaine. The driver and passenger were taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Albany, where they were subsequently charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree; a Class B Felony (with intent to sell) 2 counts, Dunbar only
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree; a Class B Felony (Narcotic drug) 1 count, Dunbar only
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree; a Class C Felony (1 count, Dunbar only)
- Vehicle and traffic violation (driver only)
Dunbar was arraigned in the Town of New Baltimore Court, and remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $35,000 cash or $60,000 Bond. No return court date available at this time. The driver of the vehicle was issued tickets for vehicle and traffic violations and released.
