Dutchess County Executive, and former Assemblyman for the 103rd district, Marc Molinaro, has set a date to begin his campaign for Governor of New York. The Poughkeepsie Journal says April 2nd is when he wall launch his run for Governor.
After saying he would not run in January, Molinaro is said to have changed his mind because of an outpouring of support. The 42 year old's first challenge will be Republican State Senator John Defrancisco of the Syracuse area, who has already thrown his hat in the ring. The Party will decide in May, who will challenge Andrew Cuomo in November.
