Hudson man charged with Felony Weapon's Possession

Press Release – Man With a Knife

On Friday March 16, 2018 at 3:20pm Hudson Police received a call from Hudson Housing Authority Manager Tim Mattice, stating that a resident came to his office and reported two men fighting in an apartment on the 9th floor. The resident also stated that one man was brandishing a knife and there were children present in the apartment.

An HPD Sgt., several Officers and Detectives arrived 4 minutes later and located the man with the knife and took him into custody.

Arrested was JOHN M. MORRISON, 45 yrs. old of Hudson. He is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree (felony), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (misd). AN 8 inch kitchen knife was recovered as evidence. He is being processed at the Hudson Police station at this time, pending arraignment at Hudson City Court.

MORRISON had apparently earlier gotten in an argument with ANTONIO McCALOP, 37 yrs. old, of Hudson. MCCALOP has not been charged.

“Morrison was videoed walking through the hallway brandishing a large knife with kids running all around. Our officers responded within minutes and took action before anyone got hurt.” Chief
