Fatal fire in East Durham,

PRESS RELEASE The New York State Police at Catskill are investigating a fatal residential structure fire on State Route 145 in the town Durham.
Five subjects are confirmed deceased at the scene and one person was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is still currently under investigation.
The New York State police were assisted at the scene by the Greene County Sheriffs Office, Durham Police Department, New York State Fire, East Durham FD, Oak Hill FD, Freehold FD, Cairo FD, Durham ambulance and Greene County paramedics.

Five family members were killed this morning, after fire destroyed a home on Route 145 in East Durham. The Times Union is reporting those deceased include: Nicholas Mammano and his wife Mary, plus three grandchildren under 12. They say, the children's father, John Mammano was rushed to the burn unit in Syracuse, in critical condition. The fire was first reported after 6:30 this morning. State fire investigators, State Police, and the Greene County Sheriff's office remain at the scene.
