Robbery w/weapon Arrest
On September 25, 2017, the Hudson City Police Department arrested 41 year old Enoch Durham of Hudson, New York for Robbery 2nd Degree, a class C Felony and 19 year old Michael Chowka of Hudson New York for Robbery 1st Degree w/ weapon, a class B Felony.
On Sunday, September 24, 2017 the Hudson Police Department received a walk-in/ lobby complaint that a robbery occurred. The victim told police that he was walking down the 500 block of Union Street within the City of Hudson when two men jumped out of a red Chevy pickup truck and approached the victim. The suspects grabbed the victim and told him to “give me the money”. A physical struggle ensued and the suspects went in the victim’s pants pocket and attempted to steal the victim’s wallet that contained a large amount of cash. The victim was able to fight back and the suspects were unable to steal the wallet. The suspects were able to steal the victim’s Apple IPhone 6 cellphone, valued at $575.00 dollars. Chowka allegedly brandished a knife during the attack/ robbery. The victim was not injured during the robbery and the victim’s cell phone was recovered by Police.
Durham and Chowka are currently being held at the Hudson Police station awaiting arraignment in Hudson City Court.
This investigation is still on going. This robbery occurred on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at around 1030 a.m. during the broad daylight. Any witnesses or information on this robbery please contact the Hudson City Police Detective Division at (518) 828-3388.
