Fire at Port of Call

posted by Bill Williams -

Half a dozen fire companies from Greene and Columbia Counties were called to the Port Of Call Restaurant, 7 Main Street in Catskill Friday, just before noon. Fire that began in an electrical outlet, spread to a wall in a storage room. Arriving Catskill Firemen reported a working structure fire and called for mutual aid.

Crews from Athens, Hudson, Leeds, Greenport, and Kiskatom responded. Catskill Ambulance and Greene County medics were also called to the scene.

Several Central Hudson trucks also arrived. Catskill Police had Main Street closed, from Green Street to the river.

Most units were back in service, after 90 minutes
