Saugerties woman accused of calling police 15 times Thursday

Released on an appearance ticket to appear on the 9th Day of July 2018 at the Saugerties Justice Court.

Narrative of What Occurred:

Christine Diliberto was arrested by Saugerties Police incidental to contacting the Saugerties Police Department 15 times between the early morning and afternoon hours of July 5th, 2018, causing disruption in the communication center.

Diliberto, was intoxicated during the calls, tying up emergency phone lines over forty minutes. Diliberto over the past four weeks has made over fifty nuisance phone calls to the police department. Diliberto was charged several times under NYS Mental Hygiene Law 9.41 and transported to the Hospital by officers.

Diliberto was advised on numerous occasions that she was tying up emergency lines at the communication center and that her continued abuse of the emergency phone lines would result in her arrest on criminal charges.

Diliberto on several occasions, had also made numerous non-emergency nuisance calls to the County 911 center, prompting unnecessary emergency police response to her home. As a result of her actions

Diliberto was charged with Obstruction of Governmental Administration. Diliberto was processed at Saugerties Police Headquarters and then released to a third party on an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Saugerties Justice Court on July 9, 20128 to answer her charges.
