Trial date set for Hudson CVS burglary suspect

On July 9, 2018, Brandon Kipp waived indictment and was arraigned in County Court upon being charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, and Petit Larceny, Honorable Richard M. Koweek presiding. The Court scheduled a trial for March 4, 2019. The Hudson Police Department investigated this matter and arrested Brandon Kipp. The Public Defender represents Brandon Kipp. (SCI No. 057-18)

617 Warren Street (CVS)
January 21, 2018
On January 21, 2018 at about 1:30 AM the City of Hudson Police Department received a call from CVS security reporting a burglary at their store located at 617 Warren Street, Hudson.
Patrols responded to the scene and found the front door to the store broken / smashed out and a male subject inside the store. Patrols made entry to the store and located the subject in the rear of the store hiding. As patrols approached the subject he grabbed a large fire extinguisher and began spraying the contents at the officers. Officers Roberts, Keyser and Montross were quickly able to take the burglar into custody.
Arrested was Brandon Kipp, 22 years old of Hudson. He appeared to be highly intoxicated.
At this time Kipp has been charged with Burglary 3rd a Class D Felony, Criminal Mischief 3rd a Class E Felony and Petit Larceny a Class A Misdemeanor. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
Kipp was arraigned in Hudson City Court by Judge Brian Herman who released him from custody with a return date of January 25, 2018 at 8:30.
